Equine Therapy, Luna
Luna was adopted from Wild Horse Rescue Center. She is a Kiger mustang cross that had a promising career in dressage. She had been trained to second level and had hoped to start competing her before she became ill.
The University of Florida did an amazing job saving her, but it was never determined what caused the sudden illness. She has since been retired. Her hooves, and asthma, have improved significantly since that ordeal years ago and she is now sound for light riding.
As we continue to develop our farm, we are hoping to provide equine therapy with Luna as our star therapy horse. She is fearless and gentle, making her the ideal personality for children who need a calm, trustworthy animal to develop and improve motor skills.
